Pretty in Pink

Who says color has to hit you like a ton of bricks?  Ouch...not I!  Neutrals are still going strong (especially in the closet of yours truly).   Better than a knock in the head, you can subtly add color like I did with this sequin skirt from Zara.  With it's tangerine and gold navajo design, I cast it in the leading role and made sure the supporting cast didn't steal the spotlight.  With help from it's neutral cast members, it clearly stole the show.

Les Belles Fleurs

Heels - Pour La Victorie

So I'm sure you've all gotten the memo - Spring is all about color.  ECCCKKK hold the hot sauce.  For a neutral loving lady this is not going to be a easy transition, however, help is on the way.  Cue the Alice & Olivia dress that infuses a little color with the ever popular black.  This dress is a great way to baby step your way into color infusion.  Now not only are you right on trend, but an added bonus is the color combo conveniently lends itself to all the black accessories you already own in your repertoire.  Winning.

Pantone's Spring 2012 Colors

Pantone has released it's Spring colors for 2012 and I couldn't resist combining them in a little collage.  It took some time to arrange the colors to compliment one another, but after a little trial and error.....Eureka!  I like the tangerine, grey, and tan combo for a serious, contemporary feel and the pale pink, blue, and mint blend to create a joyful, Saturday afternoon vibe.
