Peplum Power

 The ruffles have returned and they are stronger than ever.  The third time is the charm for these pretty little peplums that first debuted in the 40's and then sashayed their way back on the scene in the 80's.  Smoke and mirrors have nothing on peplums that play on proportion and create the illusion of a perfect hourglass figure.  They accentuate the hips which in turn magically makes the waist look smaller.   Now available in practically every fabrication all for skipping the gym and getting a peplum say.......Hip Hip Hooray!

Elle in Wonderland

I really enjoy a good fairytale. Who doesn't? One of my all time favorites is Alice in Wonderland. It's high ranked in my book, not only, because of the awesome character names like TweedleDee and Jabberwocky, but mostly due to the fabulous quotes!  A few of my favs:

                              The Mad Hatter: "Have I gone mad?"

                                               Alice: "I'm afraid so.  You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are."

                                              Daisy: "What kind of Garden do you Come from?"

                                               Alice: "Oh I don't come from any garden."

                                              Daisy: "Do you suppose she's a wild flower?"

                                               Alice: "If I had a world of my own everything would be nonsense.  Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't.  And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would.  You see? 

Like Alice, I too had a quick little adventure in Wonderland and woke up a little wiser, imagining all the marvelous things to come.
