I Heart Hollywood

This shoot was inspired by the Academy Awards Show tonight.  I love Hollywood and all the amazing movies that are produced, acted, and directed in this spectacular city.  It is always so incredibly inspiring to see people accept their awards and know that they dared to dream big.  I have a big dream and I hope you do too....Cheers to seeing our dreams come true!!

Bundled Up

As you know, (if you read my blog regularly) I am not a polar bear in disguise....in fact I detest cold weather!  Anything below 50 degrees fahrenheit and I’m not a very happy buddha.  My only reprieve is through layering and stylish outerwear, which is precisely why I’m bat $#*! crazy for this jacket.  It is the perfect solution for my winter blues.  With a shearling bodice it’s warmer than an August beach day in Miami, but still mad trendy with it’s unique silhouette and leather sleeves.  Eureka!

Clockwork Orange

Stanley Kubrick's film, "A Clockwork Orange," has always perplexed me, however when it comes to the color orange there is NO confusion...it is GRRREEAT!  (Catch the Tony the Tiger impersonation?)  Well it’s that time of year again........winter has arrived and it’s no secret - I’m NOT a fan.  Unfortunately it always brings more hours of darkness, the need for tights, and relief only thru Michelin man jackets.  While the scene outside looks straight out of Fargo, my wardrobe usually consists of black, grey, or brown.  Since the warmer weather is a ways away, today, I took matters into my own hands and added my own sunshine with some bright orange gear.  Though I don’t have any scientific evidence, I do think it helped to turn my frown upside down:)

Mirrored

I had hit the snooze button on the prints of yesterday, tired of the same ol’ hum drum, color inside the lines, run of the mill designs.  I was knee deep in a print funk, when abracadabra, alakazam, hello sunshine........mirror prints arrived on the scene!  Like a moth to a flame, they instantly rekindled my affection and brought about new life into the world of prints.  (The late great Hermann Rorschach should get a cut.)  Running the gamut from kaleidoscope geos to florals it just begs the question, “Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?”
